99 Ranger RABS has the ABS & red Brake light illuminated on dash. Fluid in master cylinder good. Parking brake position makes no difference. How do I retrieve codes from the ABS module?

Have you done any work near the battery lately? There is a small ground wire off the negative terminal of the battery. If it is disconnected the indications will be as you noted......yeah, mine was disconnected and it took me three weeks to figure it out.
No work near the battery. When the ABS light comes on does it also turn on the red brake light on the dash?
How do I retrieve the ABS codes? That will give me somewhere to start.

Mine does the same thing. I usually set my parking brake all the time cause mines a Manuel and sometimes when I unlatch the parking brake it comes off but most times it stays lit.
