About to replace body bushings

I used Prothane if I remember correctly. With all the rust and corrosion on mine, the mounts were a task. I also had to replace rear cab brackets due to rot. Now I have to do the radiator core support for the same reason.

I've never been a fan of body lift (just a personal preference), but if you are thinking about it, now is the time to do it.

Good luck. Start soaking the bolts with PB yesterday. It'll help get the nut off but its still going to be tough getting the bolt out. Be sure and have a bfh. You may end up needing to cut them with a sawzall.

I just figured while I'm putting the bushings in there why not and it'll help with the motor swap later. I figured I would get the best for those because I'm trying to soften up the ride a little.

I probably won't start till this weekend or next cuz I got to order them. I got a few bfh so I'm set there:icon_thumby:

Go ahead and soak them down now.

Once the bolts are out and the pressure is off of the mounts, the only way to get them out of the bracket is to either cut them in half.

I had my cab removed, so what I did to get the mounts off was to take a hammer (BFh) and thread the bolt all the way into the bottom piece, and then I pounded the shit out of it until the internal flange broke apart.
