about to buy a bmw

i actually just bought an 85 325e about 2 months ago, it needs a clutch master cyl, but i know that there are many parts readily available, check out bavauto.com has lots of stuff. and i use e30tech.com forums, im not a member there because you cant use a free email provider ??? but there are alot of good threads to read and i found out a couple things just by looking. im planning one eventually putting a turbo on it. but i would do it, i had a 93 325i as my first car absolutly loved it. everybody complains that they are expensive to fix/ maintain but thats from people who dont take time to shop around themselves, and its an import and its not made out of tin foil like honda's and kia's. but its up to u man, i love the e30 style and every e30 m3 part is compatible/factory upgrade for the non M-models. ALSO dont forget that the 325ix is awd. idk if your looking for something like that but they are out there.

I had a Ranger, I have an M3. No way a Ranger can do what that M3 can. Unless you stripped every possible pound off of it and built a perfect suspension with that solid rear axle. And even then I am doubtful.

Those BMW guys weren't trying...

Autopart international is another GREAT BMW parts source. And they are not that bad to maintain. Do the stuff yourself and all is good. Brakes and stuff are pricey but it's performance parts so of course they cost more. SVT parts cost more too.

BMW=Big Money Waste:thefinger::D. They are fine cars but better have deep pockets because like a high price Scottsdale girl it going to cost you!

BMW big mexican woman. I work on all kinds of cars. I wouldn't own ANY german car and bmw being at the top of the do not buy list- but that's me. Most of their cars are lethargic pieces of overpriced shit with oversized foglights. You pay over 100K (M3) and you would expect it to handle better than a civic- but you might be disappointed when the ricer passes u by. The honda has better reliability too but I know I don't get it. "Its not the car but the statement that it makes". If you buy this good luck and I hope it came with a platinum card lol.

M3 over 100k? You are thinking M5 and still exaggerating...

Believe me, I don't have 100 grand to drop on a car but I have an M3 in the garage...

Since there's a few guys in here who have driven BMWs...maybe you can help me.

Do those things have turn signals? Because I've NEVER seen a BMW actually using them.

The typical BMW owner is too busy rubbing there genitals with their left hand to signal

Sorry to say, but my Ranger has run mountain and winding road courses with M3s and kept faster speeds through the turns. Handling isn't all about the car. It's a lot about the driver too.

If you want to get into a BMW that "handles like no other" you have to get into the 5 series.

I get what you mean, that you were a better driver than the BMW guy... it doesn't really mean anything though.

I have often wondered what the heck they were doing that they couldn't see that my hulking F-150 was already occupying one of the lanes they decided to swerve across/merge into/cut off. Honestly when I see a BMW I snap to attention because there is no telling what they are going to do. :shok:

My ex's best friend rented a BMW once and said "It's a totally different driving experience. Everybody just gets out of my way" I couldn't stop laughing.

I bought mine for the power, handling, and pussy magnetism.

I got stuck behind a BMW the other night on my way home from work. We had bad weather in the forecast (it never actually came) which is apparently enough for everyone to go 5 MPH under the speed limit on the highway. This BMW was puttering along in the LH lane going 2 faster than everyone else missing or ignoring all of my obvious signals to GTFO of the passing lane and my way.

When I finally got around it I was able to see why. Little Asian girl, cell phone in one hand, hot pocket in the other, oblivious as can be. Then, about 1/2 mile after I passed her she cuts across the other lane to get off the highway.

The only signal I see is...:thefinger:. Otherwise we are not worthy of their telling what lane there will honor their present in.:D

Had a '92 325i. One of the most fun cars I've ever driven. They need attention, but are not all that expensive to maintain. There's a website which I believe is called "bimmerwerkz" or something like that and it is excellent.
