Aaron's Long Travel TTB "Prerunner"

The stx brackets should drop 2in

I really don't want my truck sitting with 6.5" of lift. I am trying to keep the COG low especially with the low roll centers the TTB causes.. Although I could use the extra up travel and the extra down travel I would be able to obtain because of the correction of the center U-joint angle I would obtain with lift brackets..
It just seems like a lot of work for something I probably will never notice..

Is there a easier way? maybe a center u-joint that provides more angle?

Yay! I got 60' of DOM coming tomorrow.. Hopefully I can at least roll it out tomorrow evening. :yahoo:

nice work, its looking good man. the beams look killer.

Thanks slo-vo.. You still planning on doing the D44 TTB Swap?

was going to do it in the ranger but decided to go sas. i still have the stuff, so it may end up on my explorer unless somebody wants to buy it all.

Nice. I was originally planning a full D44 swap but I gave up and the idea and went with the D35's. I think I am going to the D44 spindle swap eventually though... I can't wait to get this thing going..

I get it from Endura steel. They are about a 2 hour drive away from me. They do a delivery run into my city on mondays, so if the order is over $100.00 they will deliver for free..

Well....

Almost done!

I have to shorten the passenger rod still and mount everything... Its close though!

If anyone has any suggestions or questions, post up!.. I know the steering is something I haven't seen much on here..
I have a total of $550 in the steering.. It took about 4 hours to build..

the steering is nice, if i was staying with ttb id be copying it.

keep it up man

I like the steering, I may have to copy it for a small project I may be doing

was the 60' feet for cage or for steering? Also could you post a few closeups of your steering? I don't want to let the cat outta the bag but I'm going to be building my truck into a 1450 truck
