When re-installing my A4LD transmission in my 89 ranger, how do you suggest that i return the torque converter back into it's original position, fully seated? We're having a hell of a time with it. Once we got it off it seems like we cant get it to fully seat back into the tranny. :dntknw:

Sometimes you gotta turn the transmission on it's tail to get it to seat completely. You should have a minimum 7/16" to a maximum 9/16" clearance when you place a straight edge across the bell housing and measure to the nose of the converter pilot.

when i put the reman TC in my a4ld, I thought something was broke inside, i just kept turing it and wiggling it till it click 3 times, and then it rubbed the case where it went in too far, I went ahead and installed it and when I bolted it to the flex plate, it didn't rub, and it is running pretty good, I put over 100 miles on today after getting my plates and insurance.
