Hi I own an old beat up 90 for ranger short bed automatic,
Reason why I'm at this point is because one day the truck stopped moving, so I bought a new toque converter.
I put the TC into the transmission and it bottoms out in the bell housing. I try and bolt it up and it locks the engine up. pull the trans away the engine turns freely.
My dad and I measured the bellhousing and it looks like we have 1 7/16" of clearance.
This truck has been a pain in the ass. Is the torque converter the wrong one for this application and did autozone give me the wrong one?
Thanks for any help!
