Took me 3 or 4 days of working on it after school and a total of $900 to do it. but i got it!
$500 for the parts truck
$40 to machine the flywheel
$130 for the slave
$200 for the clutch kit
$18 for the rear main seal
$10 for transmission oil
FREE 2 tubes of blue locktite
minus the return on the parts truck(price to be determined when i bring it to the metal recyclers)
Some things i did to make it easier were, beat the crap out of the floor/ firewall seam, took the transmission out with the clutch master and resivoir still attached, moved the parking brake pedal and dash harness out of the way for the pedals.
USE LOCTITE, the belhousing bolts from my experience like to walk out and fall off. Its happened to me both times i did the automatic, and there were only 3 bolts in the belhousing when i got the truck, so obviously its happened before i got the truck.
Sooner or later i will swap in the manual transmission steering column and computer(has perameters for bump starting the truck and no TCC)
Not alot of time invested in it. But im glad i spent $900 on a manual trans instead of $900 trying to build the A4LD that will never last.
I just thought i would post up my results and prices.
Enjoy
