1987 B2.. previous owner did the swap but didnt do the wiring (so im a bit lost) for the reverse lights, Auto 13-50 TC(4hi works 4low doesnt), and the NSS.. i found this

AUTO transfer case- put the shift boot on. Go under and cut the 5 wire plug you will be using all of these wires. Put the red/blue stripe and red/yellow stripe to the Blue with black stripe running to trany. next would be the wht/pink stripe to the blue line running to the tranny. this will let the truck start and shift to four low with tranny in neutral. next match the wires for the back up lites they are the same color coming from the trainy should be like a purple color. IGNORE THE TWO WIRE PLUG this is for the torque converter lockup

But i am still some what confused if anyone would like to help me out a bit i would be greatful

Thanks Syko

hello? i feel like the weird lonely kid in highschool lol..

Where is this 5 wire plug?? ive looked under and the only wires coming off the tranny are 2 wire plug (blue w\black and Blue) coming from the top behind the shifter and an empty red 2 prong plug on the passenger side.
I just need some direction thank you!

i did my 87 ranger it had the auto trans. I only hooked up wires to get truck to start but you can find wire diagrams in the back of your haynes manuel. The wires run up next to the ps of the engine and go into the harness unless they cut them out but you should be able to find the 2 that were hooked together to get the truck to start. Mine were pink faded

i think the plug your looking for is on the auto tranny the nss right? the back up light on the fm146 is the switch on the side the one on top behind the shifter is like a nss switch i dont thin ku use that one cause clutch switch is pretty much the same thing

Look in the tech library or I think theres a sticky in the transmission thread

I've looked almost everywhere and there isnt alot about the wiring.. ive even gone threw the 98 or so pages in this tranny thread..

Can you take out the back up light switch without messing anything up or drain the fluid (just got it changed)? because im quite sure i have to wire up my own stuff here.

Sorry for being somewhat clueless.. just trying to clean up what the previous owner did...
