Hey guys did a search but nothing i saw were the same symtoms i'm having. just bought a '89 Ranger 2wd supercab. 2.9 with auto A4LD. going down the road on a flat strech or down hill, the tranny will shift out of OD into drive and then when you start up a hill and mash down on the gas pedal to get up the hill, it shifts in to OD and does so until you get to the top where you let off the gas, and it shifts back down and into drive. and its every hill, every time, like its doing everything backwards! anyone seen/heard/thoughts on this. as i said, looked at many threads, but nothing like what mine is doing. any help is appreciated. thanks.....

That's really odd...Could it be the OD Modulator? It works on vacuum so maybe something wrong with it or it's vacuum supply?

-tried a mod just for funsies, even though there was no fluid in the vac. lines, but didnt help......
