I'm unable to help with your answer sir, and do not wish to distract from your thread(I'll be looking forward to those answers as well), but would certainly like to know of all the O-rings in a transmission what would lead you to that one and why?

You might have to loosen the band adjustment to get it to seat completely.

There is a hook style "tool" to apply pressure to remove the cover snap ring, and a spring that pushes the servo out - towards the cap.
Without seeing the servo, I would say trans lube (ATF minimum, assembly jell best) and some added "umph" in the way of direct, in-line pressure should do it.
I haven't seen anything regarding this, so unless there are fragments of o-ring hiding, it should assemble with moderate pressure.
I purchased the tool to remove and it helps to "seat" as well.

I found it WAY cheaper used: Servo Cover Compressor 307-340 T95L-77028-A
