a4ld, no reverse

I have an a4ld that won't go into reverse. Rebuilt valve body, new torque converter, rebuilt transmission. It engages into the forward gears, but doesn't engage in reverse. Its in an 88 ford ranger xlt, 2wd, 2.9 v6.

Updadte: checked the reverse servo and tryed again. It acted like it wanted to move. Actually moved an inch in reverse but thats it.

finally took for test drive, had 1st thru 3rd, never made it fast enough for od
when I coasted backwards and the put it in drive, I had nothing. Put it in park and then drive, it went forward.

There is one more clutch that engages in reverse, the coast clutch. If you have a bad leak in the piston seals, seal rings, and or valve body, pressure can bleed off the reverse circuit. Run a control pressure check and get back to me with the results.

Park and neutral 60psi reverse 80psi all forward 70psi
