Hey,

Im planning on towing a 5x10 trailer with 3 sport quads (2 on trailer and 1 in bed) quite a bit, and I'm thinking I should invest in a nice trans cooler. What's the biggest one I can fit? and how much more fluid will i have to add?

Thanks in advance.

I had a pretty big one for mine, I can't remember the dimensions off hand. I want to say maybe 12"x8"? Not sure if it helped much, but my trans never had a catastrophic failure, either. As far as size, not sure on your year, but you'll have to take a look and see what you can fit in there.

Only accurate way of getting the fluid level right is to check it while running and add in fluid until full (I usually go through the gears when I think it's right and check again to make sure). Even if you put in enough fluid to make up for the cooler, you will still be a smige low depending how much was lost from the old cooler(?) and from unhooking (or splicing in) the trans lines. No definitive answer on that one.
