A4LD Bellhousing Swap

I'm selling my 1989 2WD 2.9L V6 Ranger A4LD trans on craigslist and some guy wants to know if the bellhousings will swap so he can use it in his 2.3 Mustang. If its not a huge job I guess I'll offer to do it for him. Any gaskets or parts I'll need?

i don't know anything about if there's a different spline count for the 2.3 models, but if not, yes, that would work, since the A4 has a removable bell
