Okay so I have a mint A4LD out of my 89 2wd ranger 2.9, and my friend just blew up the trans in his 89 aerostar 3.0
can i swap bellhousings to make it work?

as long as the bell is removable it will work.

--- I just swapped bells from a 3.0 to a 2.9, had to have the pump re-shimmed, it's the only issue you should have.
