I have owner 3 rangers including a new 2010 and all have one annoying feature, that is the wind noise from the A-pillar area and the weatherstrip in general.
I just bought a donor mercury mountaineer for a V8 conversion into my 2000 Ranger and couldn’t help but notice that the weatherstripping is of different construction between the 2 vehicles. The mountaineer is quieter and uses a fuzzy instead of a rubber seal and has an extra plastic piece underneath the front windshield gaske that wraps around the door pillar.
I’m curious if anyone has tried to retrofit this configuration into a Ranger?
