A little trek around the place

Those last three shots are a panorama of the place going from North to South, where the trees are tallest is basically where our farm is at. I have been told it is the last stand of native timbers in the area. There is a local grave yard filled with a number of "Woodsmen of the World" tombstones dated 1900 to near 1940
but they didn't cut our place. I know a little spot they used for lunching right on the edge of our property, just inside the treeline shade but they didn't cut across the line. My father bought it in the late 40s. He wanted to be a farmer but suddenly he had children to feed and wound up working in the city where he did rather well on several levels as a carpenter. I grew up in Ft Worth but the morning after graduation I threw some things in my 64 4 door Impala and headed home
