a few years ago my friends and i decided to build some old school bikes, however i was the only one to actually finish one. just dug it outta the shed today, put some air in the tires and went for a ride. sure feels good to be back on it.

I started with two huffys my dad had in storage, tore them both apart to salvage the good parts from both and make one. the top tube got cut out and flipped, the legs off one fork got cut off and slid over the other set and welded on. aluminum mags were donated by my uncle, they were his from when he was a kid. i cleaned up the chrome with some fine steel wool and polish. most of the bike is original, save for the headset, crank, wheels and pedals.

Plans are to finish some welding on it, repaint the frame, forks and wheels, clean up the chrome and put vintage style tires on it.

Needs one of those small gas motors to mount to it and then cruise with those mag wheels....lol

LOL, I had a green one just like that with tassels coming out of the end of the handle bars!

you got room for a big block on that, don't you?maybe some giggle gas.....

I had the 3-speed shifter and the drag slick.

Edit: Like this, but uglier and made out of cast-off parts.

Looking good Nate. Got to love Wisconsin, grass is green but that snowblower is still posed to go! What was it, less than 3 weeks it was snowing and we had 93 yesterday.
Later - Dave
