Damn that hurt me to look at those pics. what kind of truck? I everyone ok other than the guy in the pic?

josh in the pic was fine he just had to go get checked out after a wreck like that. that WAS a 86 f250 8ft bed with a 6.9 diesel and a 3 speed auto. no one else was in his truck.

im alright, a little stiff. waiting to see what the ins. comes back with. other driver seemed fine and said she was a bit sore too.. but i was doin prolly 55 and she pulled out into me from a side street.. guess she thought it was a 4way stop? idk.. posted a few new pics in that above linked thread i took this morning when i went and cleaned it out. all im really missing is my hi-lift. ha

Damn, sorry about your truck but glad to hear that you're ok. I don't think I've ever heard a story about the entire rear axle coming detached. Shocks, springs, driveshaft...takes a hell of a lot of force to break it all off at once. Scary. I do like how you said that even though the truck was on its side the engine was still running and revving.

the truck was a beater but a CHAMP it saved my b2 with a MUCH needed tow home once.
