A couple odd problems with my new ranger

Hey guys, I've had my ranger for just over a month now. I've got a couple problems I would like to try to take care of.

First, I've noticed since I've had the truck that the fan will now stop blowing air through the vents. With the fan speed dial off and the slider set to off I still get air coming through the vents at about the same speed as if the dial was turned to the first setting. I've never experienced anything like this with previous vehicles, any ideas on this?

Second I've had trouble starting the truck since I bought it. I got a new battery and that seemed to fix the problem. Except recently it wouldn't start 2 mornings. Both mornings it had rained over night and was really wet out. I'm thinking I'm getting some moisture in somewhere. Maybe new plug wires and/or distributor?

The fan, does it blow through the defrost when it stops coming out the vents?

As for the starting issue, try putting some vasoline around the bottom of the dis cap.

yea mine does that with the vents. it's your blend door it probably isnt closing fully. Now your start problem is it that it wont do anything or does it still turn over but not start?

Not sure if the air will then come out of the defrost when I close the vents but I think so. If i have it set to heat it gets pretty hot so its still coming out of somewhere.

The truck will turn over but just not start.
