a/c will not engage all the time

2002 ranger 4x4 4.0 a/c wont engage while driving.put gauges on static pressure good wait a while a/c comes on pressures good a/c cold just not sure what is going on could the wot relay be sticking just bought the truck and tring to get rid of the gremlins

don't feed them after midnight and under no circumstances get them wet.

Put the gauges on, rev the engine up to 1.5k-2k rpm and see what the pressures do and report back.

found it clutch relay failing swapped and good

Thank you! I have been fighting the same problem with my '06. The clutch not kicking on and staying on. It'd get warm and cool.

I changed the relay for the compressor clutch and voila! Its cold. And for 13 bucks, was well worth the fix and doing it myself.

which is the compressor clutch relay? I'm having the same issue in my 2000 ranger
