Hi, looking for some insight, I have a 2004 ranger. This morning it was cold out and I noticed ac compressor was running. I checked all modes and temps, still on even when switched off. Then I tried to rotate the center of the compressor and it appears locked up and the pulley is magnetized my wrench was sticking to it. I then unplugged the compressor and it's still on. The questions I have are 1. Will it eventually seize up and take out the belt. 2. Is there any way to free it. 3. Why is it magnetized is this normal.

Thanks for any input

Sounds like the clutch needs replaced. It should free spin with climate controls off/clutch unplugged...
