A/C Relay under hood-93 Ranger

Next question..... The relay under the hood is marked "A/C....WOT". I do not hear the pump turn on when I turn on the A/C. I realize it may be low on refridgerant, but would this relay also effect Wide Open Throttle? It seems it should have a little more get-up-and-go for a 3.0L

Dunno, mine seems to shut off when I'm at wot.

seems like the relay is designed to turn off the a/c at wide open throttle to give the engine "more" power....being low on refridg.---the compressor isn't working anyway....look for other problems causing power loss...

It is designed to cut off at WOT. The rely will not effect it at idle unless it's bad. The 3.0 just doesn't have balls. I have to mash my pedal to sometimes just maintain speed. In the tech library there's a short list of popular mods for the 3.0, but the 4.0 has more power and mod capabilities.
