will the compressor discharge hose to the condenser from a 2.9 work on my 2.8 83 ranger.lmc has the 2.9 listed, and it looks identical.mine has a leak at the compressor tube to hose transition, and napa told me they can no longer repair them.just wondering?

If NAPA can't get it, odds are LMC can't either.

O-rings, on the other hand, are VERY easy to replace. There is one under each compressor manifold and I believe another behind each fitting.

I don't believe the compressor is located in the same place on a 2.9L as on a 2.8L. This will make the discharge line different, even if the compressor and condenser are identical.

You CAN get these at junkyards, though I'd be careful to get one from a full service yard where the owner had to have the refrigerant recovered.

thanks, lmc does't have one listed for 2.8 so when im ready i'll hit the yards.
