Hey to all,
I just bought a 1989 Ranger XLT with the 2.9L engine. (my first vehicle) Everything works except the A/C. I had the A/C checked and the dealer says that both the inlet and outlet hoses are leaking, but Ford does manufacture them any longer. Does anyone know if there are any third parties that make these hoses? The dealer suggested a junk yard...... doesn't seem like that would be any better than I have now.

Any suggestion??

Check your local auto parts store. Also, some a/c shops will make hoses.:)shady

X2 that on the parts stores. Any of them that make hydraulic hoses usually can make ac hoses as well. They just have to have the right ends to crimp down on the hose. Which hose are you needing? I just did a search at autozone.com and they show the hoses.

I just did the A/C on my BII w/ 2.9L about a year ago. All 3 hoses were available under the Four Seasons brand. I know Rockauto.com sells them, might try there as well.
