i did the same exact thing on my 87 bII. got one from harbor freight for really cheap. my question is that what types of fittings did you guys use? i kept sliding hose over the tubes that i cut about 2" from the pump and it kept drying out and cracking (too small of hose) this time i'm gonna try cutting the rubber part and putting a hose barb in that.

there was a link on a different forum i'll try to find for you guys.

With my stock 4.0L sanden compressor the inline oiler did not work, the pumps kept burning up. I've come to find just pulling the intake hose off and shooting a good helping of ATF into it with the pump running works better. I went through 3 pumps with the oiler. I've been using the same one for 2 years now hand oiling it.

The 2.9L compressors seem to stand up much better to being an OBA compressor than the 4.0L pumps. My buddy has tortured his on his 87 B2 for 4 years without problems. He oils it the same way I am, by hand when you first go to use it.
