Will 1993 Lincoln Mark 8 seats fit a 1997 Ranger. These are power seats and we want to put them in the Ranger. If I need to do mods what will I need to mod?

That's the first place I looked. Was hoping maybe someone has modded these seats to fit. I could find out what they to get them to fit. Stepson got a great deal on them and likes them so guess we will see how it turns out.

It is not at all an easy job if you would like to keep the power features. The seat track will not bolt into the ranger without some heavy modification.

If you dont mind not having the power features you can very easily bolt the actual seat to the ranger track. You just have to match up the ranger track and where you want the lincoln seat located on the track. Then just drill new bolt holes and mount the Lincoln seat to the ranger track.

I have Lincoln Mark VII seats in my trucks. They are just bolted to the ranger tracks. The only issue is with the extended cab you have to set the seatback in the position you want and if you ever need to recline it you have to jump out the wires to that motor with a drill battery or such. But the seatbacks pull forward without power so its never been an issue in my case.

Thanks bigmark303, that's the info I needed. We don't plan on the seats being moved once installed so the power function isn't a big deal. Haven't had time to remove original seats 60/40 seat from truck yet since this is his dd. Plan is to have these in this weekend. Again, thank you!

is the truck a single cab or extended cab?

It's an extended cab. Seats that are in there now were trashed by po. So he wanted something a nicer than what was in there. Couldn't find any Mustang seats that weren't destroyed.

Ok you should be set then. I was just going to mention that the Lincoln seats dont sit as far back on the track as the ranger seats do so if it were a single cab you would find yourself closer to the steering wheel.

Thats not the case with the extended cab though. The tracks go back farther. Just make sure the lumbar and bolster settings are what you want before you bolt the seats up. You just have to jump the wires to the motors with a drill battery. Its just positive and negative.

Other than that it should take maybe 30 minutes. And those seats soak up a lot of vibration.

Great, again thanks for your help. We thought we would need to plan exactly where he wanted them because we didn't plan to use the power. Just something that looks good and will be comfortable too. Then we will mod a console at some point. I thought about building one from wood. Just want to fill the space between the seats and create some storage space too.
