rebuilt the ft end on my '99 xploder, took it to dealer for alignment, they said I had used wrong parts (upper control arms - both). the funny thing is what came off looked exactly like what went on.

my question did ford change the ball joints?

There are 2 different right upper control arms. One is fixed. The other is 2 piece, for caster adjustment.

but other than that (1 piece vs 2 piece) no other changes.
why then would dealer want to charge me $ 8xx.xx to replace my new parts.
the left steer has a definitive lean inward ( I \ ) as seen from ft of vehicle.

have vehicle back from dealer, will tear it back down (partially) to investigate problem, any thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated especially since this is my first SLA type ft. end rebuild.

It all went back together fairly easy no spare parts left at end of project????????????

Dunno, find your receipt and check the part numbers.

It is possible you put ranger arms on, which are shorter and would camber the tire in.
