I have a 1999 standard cab shortbed 2wd 3.0 auto ranger with 145,000 miles and a transmission that has no reverse. I also have a exact match in a 2000 that was rolled with 50,000 miles. I am planning on doing a full body swap from the '99 to the 2000 so I have a working vehicle with essentially 50,000 miles on it. Any tips on cab removal. Was hoping to leave the inner fender/radiator support sheet metal on the frame. Will the computer of the 1999 work pluged into the 2000 drivetrain, I am worried about the stupid chip key not working, or is that a seperate module. I have already stipped the 2000's fenders, bumpers, lights, and bed off. hoping to start the cab Swap next weekend. Any helpful hints on unhooking the parking brake cable, etc.
I hope to unbolt the master cylinder from the booster to save bleeding brakes.

Thanks,

Countryk

I have swaped a few cabs. The inner fenders/radiator support are welded to the cab. I usually spread the connector apart for the ebrake then snap it out of the frame. The computer should plug right in.
