I have a chance to buy a flairside bed (whole truck actually) on a 99 x-cab sport truck, and would love it on my 91. Any chance this would fit on there? Direct swap? Right width? Gastank issues or anything? Thanks!

As far as I know, it should bolt right up to your '91 as long its a short bed, but the body lines will be different. You will also need the filler neck for the gas tank and swap rear bumpers.

They are both shortbeds. I see something about mabye the breaklight wiring might be different too.

Anyone have any pictures of a swap like this that has been done? I see the shadow truck allready, but want to see one with a smooth flair done.

Thanks!

The bed will work. I had a 93 Flareside bed on my 92. Body lines won't line up, gas filler is the same (may need to be shortened), a little wider. Steal the tail light wiring harness off your current truck as you know it works already with what you have. May have to splice bulb connectors, but I didn't. I'll see if I can find pic for ya.

sry but that looks like shit plz dont put one of them on you truck

Lol, I like it... but I wish the top line would line up some more. If I could find an old bodystyle body like the shadow truck has, that would be Ideal.

I wonder how much work it would be to make an old f-150 flairside fit onto the ranger shortbox. Any Ideas?

That would be your opinion..........and we know what opinions are related to. If he likes it for his truck then he can do what he wants. Nobody can change his mind. I had thet bed on that truck for more than 5 years, had plenty of compliments but only had a few who did not like it.

Do you think you could cut down an f150 flairside bed, or would that fit on the short box? You would just need to shorten it length wise correct?
