Hi, we have a very nice, new-ish looking 99 Ranger XLT which is amazing as it has lived its life on the salty roads of Minnesota. 155,000 miles on it. It has unfortunately been a bit temperamental, having to change the motor once since we bought it in 2006 and having trouble all the time mainly because with gas so dam high we haven't been able to afford to drive the guzzler. Therein is a problem with machines, they need to be used regularly. Is the 4.0 notorious ?
