i wasnt sure where to put it so if ti should be somewhere else just move it.

I got a 99 Ranger 4X4 that squeaks when im driving around town. I hear it when im goin straight or turning one direction and not the other(i dont remember which way) it stops the second i tap the brakes and starts again when i take my foot of the pedal. Sounds like it is coming from the front left tire. is it the wheel bearing or something else???
Thanks

It's funny you mention that. Yesterday when I was out on the trail I heard the same noise from the left front when I reached 10 mph and would stop if I hit the brakes. It did it whether I would turn the wheel or not. It eventually went away but I can hear a sort of grinding noise from the front. I think it's the wheel bearings. The only problem we have is that they are wheel hubs so it's an assembly. They're quite expensive aswell...seems like we're having the same issue.

its the brakes, have you been in the mud? i have a lot of problems with brakes squeeling after i hit a big mud hole.
