99 ranger spare tire lock key

my dad bought a 99 step-side 4X4 a couple of months ago.
no key for the lock (it blocks the hole above the license plate)
is this a dealer item or after market?

proably both, see if you cant find someone you know that will let you borrow their key and see if it will work..ya never know

If I remember correctly, the dealer around here said they could only get the entire assembly (key and lock).

I needed mine pretty quick so I just took a hammer and punch to mine.
