99 Ranger build

on the front 44 there are inner seals

Wait. Is there an inner axle seal for the rear d60, or just the front d44? Cuz I replaced the wheel seal on the rear axle when I had it apart. I had no clue there was an inner seal. Does that mean I gotta take it all apart again?
Theirs no inner seals on the rear 60. The pic is from my front dana 44.

Crap. I think I'll have to take it to a driveline shop to have the seals replaced. I don't know the first thing about how to correctly set the differential bearing back in there

Was bored today so i played a little at the sand pit.

Did you have to check the backlash when you put the front diff back in? Or did you just torque the bolts down and call it a day?

I never checked the backlash when i reinstalled the diff, i just torqued the bolts back down.

Looks good brother.

You are my idle. Wish I had the time, money, knowledge, and know how to do this. Would be fun!

So I am in the middle of dropping a lot of cash on the green turd.

Do you have a problem steering your truck when its in 4wheel with your spool. I was thinking about spooling mine in the front instead of buying a locker. But that means I'm going to have to do the hydro assist sooner then later I think.

The steering does feel a little heavyer when turning and have to take wider turns, but other wise than that i really like the spool in the front plus It was 1/4 the price of a looker. If i had a choice to do it over again i would. Its not even that bad this winter, during this last ice storm we got up here i just unlocked one hub and i got around fine.
