im putting a 3 inch pa body lift on my 99 ford ranger. i really dont want to pay 500 dollars to get a 200 dollar kit installed so do you think that it would be fine if i tried it on my own, i know general ed on trucks but im no mechanic.

get 3 buddies and a 12 pack, lots of PB blaster, you should have it done in a week end.

that manual or automatic? does the kit include a shift extension?

sweet ya everyone i talk to says to do it yourself but the instructions are pretty advanced lookin. but i got some instructions with pics.

its aoutomatic.
the only part that im worried about it the steering extention. i dont want to screw that up

It is pretty simple depending on what kind of tools you have available it should only take a few hours. Don't worry about the shift extension it just slips right in and tighten down, don't forget to use locktite on all the bolts.
