I just installed a Rockford Fosgate P1S4-8 subwooofer in the stock enclosure of my 99 Exploder Eddie Bauer.
I left the OEM stuffing in the box, and added to it by stuffing the whole frontend of the box. I got it pretty close to the recommended box volume.
The stock amp only puts out 85w rms, I'm thinking I'm going to have to upgrade it as well. I think I had more bass volume with the blown oem sub, though the sound quality has improved tenfold.
My sub can handle 400w peak/ 200w rms @ 4ohms
Does anyone have experience with, or know of a good amp to meet my needs and fit in the oem location behind the panel?
