99 Cab swap HELP!!

So my friends dad rolled his 99 ranger 14 years ago with 11k miles. Yesterday we picked it up off his grandparents property and are planing on swapping cabs and bed. It is a extended cab and we found a full parts car minus the engine that is a regular cab. Would the cab and bed swap easily? If the mounts won't line up we would just wait for another extended cab instead of moving mounts. Looking to pick up the parts car tomorrow or Monday if it can swap.

More than likely, it will bolt right on.

Whether everything is interchangeable is another story...what year is the donor truck and what engine did it have in it?

Many on here have swapped various parts and I just finished reading a thread on a similar swap but I think it was an older truck...you can search the site by using the Google Custom search link at the top of the page...may take a few tries but TRS has a long history...and the Tech Articles are a good source of Vitamin See...

Except for the part where they are trying to put a regular cab on an ex cab frame.

The frame is not the exact same on all models. The frame slopes up at the rear of the cab. The lower section is a different length between regular and ex cab, and the rear mounts for the regular cab won't line up with anything, The front few will, but the last set won't have anything to bolt to.
