Well i have a 99 4.0l xlt and maybe someone can enlighten me on my problem.
First of all it has always ran lean codes on the obd.
But as of late it has started running very poor sputtering and stalling out.
It doesnt matter if its cold or heated up.
My problem is it runs bad at different intervals its pretty random.
The problem is this is my only truck so i cant just afford to put it in the shop so if anyones got any ideas im all ears.
By the way ive already changed the coil pack, spark plugs and wires but i kinda believe i have a bad vacuum leak but im not sure and i need to be sure so thanks for the help

ge some break cleaner and spray from different parts of tyhe intake whiel the truck is runnign and see if you have any change in the way it is running. That is the fastest way to check for vadcum leaks. have you changed the fuel filter? common maint issue alot of peopel fail to change on a regular basis.
