My head gasket recently busted, and the truck started blowing exhaust into the radiator.

I pulled the heads off the block, while the block was mounted inside the truck. After replacing the head gasket and reasemmbling the engine, the engine started up just fine, except it had a very rough idle. It felt like a cylinder or two wasn't firing. The check engine light came on, and I pulled a code of p0351 (ignition coil A primary/secondary circuit).

I then installed a set of spark plugs, spark plug wires, and a new ignition coil. Now my truck won't even start. It turns over, but no fire.

I have no idea how to proceed with this, and I can't think of what could be wrong with it. Your help is appreciated.

Double check to make sure that the wires are installed on the correct plugs and connectors.

Aside from that, put the old coil back in and see if it will fire back up. It will atleast tell you if the replacement coil is faulty.

Have to see what others suggest for any other options.

Update.. It WAS the new coilpac. Took it back and got another new one..Runs like a new one.
