99 3.0 Exhaust

I have a 99 Ranger with a 3.0 and we took the exhaust off right behind the cat...it sounds good but it is too loud in the cab of the truck becuase it dumps out under the passenger seat. Do you think it will be quieter when i put the rest of the exhuast on??? Im just gonna y-pipe it into duals and go out the back.

Probably, not a whole lot though.
