Im pretty new to rangers, so ..

i have a 99 4cyl with a stick and would like to level the front a lil.

Do i have torsion bars or coils? .. I have no clue what tbars look like so?? ..

I tried searching and it just confused me .. ive read i have tbars but then i also read i have coils .. idk

any help is much appreciated, thanks

Pop your head under your truck if you have two bars (1 on each side of your truck) hanging down a little from the frame, you have torsion bars. If you don't see them you more then likely coils.

ive never seen a 4 banger with t-bars i have coils. heres mine
99 2wd lift

mine leveled out with new shocls and moog sway bar links

yeah i didnt think that a 4 would have tbars, it would make sense for it to have coils i suppose.

Yours looks very good. I might try new coils on it or try to find some sort of a spacer.

Thanks for the input.

i think they have urethane isolator/spacers on ebay but i wouldnt go bigger than 2 inches or you will have alignment issues. my truck was lowered with 3 inch coils and it sucked to align. im planning on doing a 2 inch body lift soon

yeah i will prolly try 1 inch - 1.5 inch. Nothing crazy.

ah cool i cant wait to see yours with the BL.

what size tires you gonna run?

i want 32x9.50 i wanna stay pretty narrow on the tire for now. id like to do an atlas swap with a toyota axle up front some day, but im keeping the 4 banger, i love that engine.
