I've got a 1998 ford ranger 2 wheel drive with a locked up 3.0l It has 142,ooo miles on it. Body is in pretty good shape. Bed rails have a few dents and scratches. 16" mustang wheels off a 1995 GT. Tires about 50% Interior in decent shape. CD player. What's the truck worth the way it sits needing a motor?

Get the KBB on the truck and subtract value of a brand new motor. Or at least a decent used one. Then I'd take off another $100 or $200 cause someone has to put it in.

KBB is $2300....a good used motor is $500-$800. Didn't find any new ones.

A couple hundred bucks.

Yeah, you might know it only needs an engine, but a buyer is going to be leary because there is no way to know how anything else works on it.

You might get more money if you sell the wheels seperate too (provided you have the stock wheels)

I can haul it to the junkyard and $300-$350.... but I know I can get more than that out of it

No motor means it good scrap instead a complete turd

Sent from the road while ignoring traffic
