I am gonna put gears in the front of my daily driver one of these weekends. I have dont a few TTB gears, but never done the newer style. I wont be able to run to the parts store, and do not wanna get caught with my pants down.

Just wondering if there is anything i am gonna run into out of the ordinary?

Special tools, stupid little bolts that you cant see etc...

Thanks.

About the only thing I can think of offhand where there could possibly be a surprise is with the shims in the install kit (or lack thereof). Many kits (Yukon for example) don't seem to include the large slingers that go behind the pinion head. If yours has this and you end up needing a thinner one, you may be SOL. Fortunately from what I've heard D30 slingers will fit the D35 if you have to go looking for one (might just need to hone the hole out a hair).

Hope that helps.

thanks, i will make sure i have something available for just in case.
