98 Explorer - Does it use Rack and Pinion Steering or regular old gearbox?

Hi All

I am going to look at a 98 Explorer and the owner states that the Rack and Pinion was replaced.
I thought they used the regular Gearbox like my F150.

Before I question them I would like to be sure I know what I am talking about.

Its a rack and pinion.

Yup 95 and newer Explorers have rack and pinion.
