98 4.0 manual transmission swap to 4.0 auto transmission help please

Ok so I am swapping my 4.0 manual transmission out for a auto transmission and I know I need the ecu out of an auto 4.0 ranger witch I've already picked up. So what else is there as wiring goes that needs to be done , im putting in a B&M floor shifter . I need to have it ready for this weekend so Thank you for any help

Wire harness, in theory, should be there and have all the plugs you need, assuming your truck matches the transmission.

Why do you want an auto over a manual...

Auto manufacturers tend to make one wiring harness fit all options. That's why they're called 'options', as I understand the world. My world view is slightly askew, though, and I have been wrong before.

Is the auto a C4, C5, C6, some combination of 4's/5's and E's? We need details, or we can't help you.

The auto transmission id out of a 98 explore and I all ready had it, it is just a temporary swap as soon as my manual gets rebuilt it will go back in
