98 2wd easiest and cheapest way to lower and shock choices?

Hi I have a 98 ranger 2wd 4.0 long bed I would like to lower 2-3 inches looking for easiest and cheap wAy to make happen. Also looking for shock suggestions S it needs them replaced

Looking to also throw 17x8 inch wheels under it as well so I want to make sure it all fits thanks

Cheapest would probably be stock or stock replacement. 2 or 3 inches isn't much.

is the front suspension coils or torsion bars?
are there a blocks between the rear axle and springs?
