98-00 to 01+ headlight conversion

I'm looking to order some fenders and bedsides for my 98 ranger soon. Both are supposed to be compatible with 98-11 bodies so I'm wondering if someone could point me towards info on converting my head and taillights up to the 01+ units. Do I need headlight buckets and a new grill or is it a straight swap? Any info is appreciated.
