'97 to '94 3.0L swap

I found a 3.0L in a wrecked '97. Can I use the bottom end in my '94 3.0L?
the 97 has a coil pack where as the '94 has a distributor. Need to know the swap issues before I spend a bunch of money.

You can use the entire engine. Swap timing covers and the distributor in as well as any sensors that changed plugs.

That would give me a better engine than the 94 huh? Cool, so there is a place and a drive gear for the distributor on the 97 motor? I'll have to go back to the yard and check it out. Mine has over 410k on it now, and just doesn't have the get up and go it once had pulling but it will still burn the tires if I punch it. Anything else I need to know feel free to commit. Thanks

It's a little bit better but it's still a 3.0, don't expect miracles from it. As for the distributor, the Cam Position Sensor is mechanically identical to the distributor, they go in the same place and can interchange.
