Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knew what the light is for. Mine doesn’t actually light up, so I’m trying to figure out what it goes to. Thanks!

I've never heard of it before and the first thing I thought of was cruise control. I did a search and found a few references to this light but didn't see anything that appeared to explain what it was for...
then I found this website that seems to indicate it is for cruise control...and the colour of the light indicates it is either on or off...so your's should actually light up either gold or green....

Maybe Ford didn't use that exact method...but if your vehicle doesn't have cruise control the light will not be lit at all...
How often do you use the CC?
My Dodge van has it and I've used it a few times on long trips. The dash light always comes on when it's activated and goes off right away when I hit cancel.
I've seen Rangers with CC but have never driven one other than my first 2.0 5 speed that I didn't think would be able to maintain speeds very well since I had to gear down on hills. The CC just didn't make any sense on that configuration so I removed it.
