97 ranger Xlt 4.0 after head gasket replacement

Hi I just can't seem to figure out where this connector goes.
Can someone help please?

Welcome to TRS :)

Red/white wire single post would be for Temp Sender, by thermostat housing
Dark green/white wire single post would be for Oil pressure switch, drivers side of engine under #4 exhaust port

Can you clean the wire up more to see its color

Not that many single post connectors like that in engine bay
 
I believe there was one similar to that on the 96 Explorer I had trouble locating.
It might thread through under there to the thermostat area or possibly underneath on the driver side in a hard to find and hard to see place. I also think it's harder to reach than it was to see

Maybe backtrack it a ways and go underneath where it is now, or up the drivers side
