I go to an automotive school and I'm trying to figure out why out "team" vehicle is running like a go cart. Its not a project so this isnt cheating.
Its a 97 ranger with a 3.0 and a 5 speed and its 4wd.
I was figuring it was the spark plug wires being connected to the distribution box wrong but i tried to put it to where it is supposed to be and it sounded even worse. I can't get it to run smooth at all and its always wanting to die, you have to give it just a bit of throttle to keep it running. My teacher was helping but by the time he started helping it was just about time to go.
Also anyone with a 97 3.0 can you give me a pic of your engine and mainly the spark plugs connecting where they are supposed to be?
I have a 2003 but the distribution box (whatever its called) is way different.
Any suggestions would be awesome.
